Nothing happens in August......

Well of course there is Ramadon,
but other than that all the "holidays" are made up.
In the list of special days in August - and I kid you not... National clown week, bad poetry day, air conditioning appreciation week, left handers have their own day. Food is sandwiched by creamsicles day and national peach pie day. So go to your local farm and pick some fresh juicy peaches and we'll make some pie. Sit inside watch a clown movie and enjoy the air conditioner. Feel free to use your right hand (if that helps) and if it doesn't fill you up go for a creamsicle.

Pie Crust
2 cups flour
1 tspn salt
1 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cold water

Mix the flour, salt, sugar and butter into small pea size pieces. Add the cold water until just mixed.
Refrigerate
Roll into 9" pie pan.

Filling
10 Fresh Peaches
pitted and sliced

Streusel Topping
1/3 cup flour
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 cup butter
splash of vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Cream sugar butter
and Vanilla, Cinnamon
add flour until quarter
sized crumbs.

Filling & Topping
In the pie pan, put the peaches then the streusel
on top. Bake 45-50 Minutes
350 degree til golden and juicy.
